Privacy Policy

Daily Expenses ("the App") is a personal expense tracking application developed for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information when you use it.

By using Daily Expenses, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• Email address (used for login and registration)
• Encrypted password (stored using BCrypt hashing)
• Expense records including item name, cost, type, date and payment mode
• Expense categories (item types) you create

Your expense data, email address, and all other information collected by the App never leaves your device through the App itself.

This app does not require an internet connection and does not send any data over the internet.

The App uses Google Firebase Remote Config to allow remote management of app features. This service may collect:

• Anonymous app instance identifiers
• Basic device information (OS version, app version)

This data is handled by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. No personal or financial data is sent to Firebase.

• Storage — to save backup files to your Downloads folder
• Notifications — to notify you when a backup completes
• Internet — only used by Firebase Remote Config for app feature management

Your data is retained for as long as the App is installed on your device. You can delete all data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App
• Clearing App data from Android Settings → Apps → Daily Expenses → Clear Data

Daily Expenses is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
